Change request template

When creating your first project it is a good idea to start with our best practice template for handling change requests. Use this standard project template as is or change it afterwards to your exact needs by modifying the custom fields.

Follow these steps to copy the template to your project:

  • Start by clicking on "+" next to your project in the left menu. The change request template will be copied to this project.
  • Click on "+" next to "Wiki" in the left menu.
  • Click on "Copy wiki".
  • Select "Technology" in the Industry drop down menu.
  • Select "Change request template".
  • Click "Copy".
  • Click "Specifications" in the left menu.
  • Click "Change request template".
  • Change the name and click "Save" if necessary.
  • Click "Custom fields" and modify as required.

You can modify the custom fields and their values to suit your specific needs. When ready, save your change request template for future use in your other projects.

You have now created a change request template in your project. For each new change request, create a new "requirement" in this specification.

Tip: You can link each change request to all the affected business and functional requirements. Select the change request you want to link and click "Add requirement link". Then search and select the requirement you want to link to. Repeat if you want to link to more than one requirement.
